• News Flash:

7th and 8th graders PLEASE remember your PICTURES for our next Andy Warhol piece!!

Please join your children for this week’s Chapel so that you can see their GORGEOUS art work hanging in the hall! Each grade has worked so hard and I am so proud of each and every student! Way TO Go!

• Items needed for the Art Room:

Cardboard tubes (toliet paper tubes/paper towel tubes)

Dried up markers (using them to make watercolor)

• What’s Going on in the Classroom:

Jk- This week students will be creating birds nests out of clay and a small baby bird to put in it!

K- Students will be bringing home their American Flag collages this week! They will finish up on their amazing Easter egg project this week as well.

1^st Grade: Students finished up on their Diego Rivera Easter Murals. They will be placed in the halls this week for all to enjoy! They will create tissue paper Easter eggs this week!!

2^nd Grade: Great job on the Picasso animals!! I was blown away! This week students will be creating a tissue paper cross collage for Easter!

3^rd Grade: Students just finished their Edvard Munch Scream pictures!! Check them out! They have been hung in the hall outside the art room! This week students will create a Cross rubbing out of oil pastels for Easter!

4^th Grade: Congrats! Students have earned a free day in Art. The will be creating string glue Easter eggs! They will also be finishing up on their Madonna and child on a curved throne piece where they took a modern approach on Medieval art!!

5^th Grade: Students just finished up with some Michelangelo paintings where they painted upside down!!! (pictures are coming soon) These have been hung in the hall outside the art room near the water fountain! Next students will be creating funny bunny art work for Easter!! I'm so excited to see the end result!

6^th Grade: The students foil art has been displayed on the art bulletin board located in the administration building! Fantastic job!! Next the students are finishing up on their View of Toledo paintings, and getting started on some clay birds for Easter!

7^th/8^th Grade:  Students will be finishing up on their Andy Warhol piece that describes America today. They will also wrap up on their Warhol style picture paintings!
