Qué pasa en español…..what’s happening in Spanish.
Exciting new things are happening in Spanish for PES. Students in grades 4-8 now are using www.quia.com/web for homework assignments. These fun interactive games are a great way for children to refresh and expand on their Spanish vocabulary and grammar. 4th grade is required to spend 10 minutes per week, 5th and 6th are required to spend 15 minutes per week and 7/8th are required to spend 20 minutes per week on this.

Practice, Practice, Practice
*Grades 4-8 are making flashcards for vocabulary. Ask your children to study them 5 minutes each night. Quiz them and help them. We will also be using www.quia.com/web for flashcards and practice as well.
* www.spanishdict.com is a great resource for children who need to look up a word meaning. Please encourage your children to use this website. Google translate is not accurate and does not allow for children to think on their own!
*Ask your children to greet you each morning and evening. It’s great practice for them!
*Also, please encourage siblings to practice their vocabulary, greetings and sentences at
home.
