JK : Students will use programs on my tizmo's page to review their alphabet through stories and letter games.
K: Kindergarteners will begin a review of all word processing programs that we have covered this year. We will review Word, PowerPoint, Excel as well as the internet. They will also play keyboarding games from my tizmo's page to practice the homerow and mouse control.
1st:Students will type using DanceMat typing. Their goal is to get to level 4 by the end of the year. We will also begin our review of all of this years' objectives including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, internet, google searches, software programs, minimizing, maximizing, copying, pasting, opening new tabs and much more!
2nd: Students will type using DanceMat typing. Their goal is to get to level 4 by the end of the year. They will also be researching and creating a brochure for the countries that they are learning about in Social Studies.
3rd: Class will begin with 20 minutes of keyboarding practice. Students will then finish creating their very own webpage with their own URL about Space. We will present and share their work.
4th: Students will begin class with keyboarding and will then work on creating their own webpage using wikispaces and poster using glogster.
5th: Students have finished all of their keyboarding lessons for the year! Their words per minute have improved greatly along with their technique. We will continue creating webpages using wikispaces. Each website will have 5 pages. Each will cover one of the worlds' oceans that are being discussed in their Science course.Students should be finished this week so that we can present their hard work to the class.
6th: 6th grade will be assisting 2nd grade with their research projects and act as the middle school "tech buddy" with them this week.
7/8: Students will continue to use the advanced keyboarding software on my tizmos page with their keyboards covered to improve their keyboarding without having to look at the keys. We will finish our lessons about the helpfulness of advanced Google searches and better way to use Google. We will also decipher URL lingo and learn to determine when to use a particular URL.
