Happy Mother's Day!  

Peek of the Week  

Devotions: 

We will discuss the importance of a quiet time with God.  They will use a journal and Bible to reflect on God's goodness. 

Literacy  

Scholastic News articles- Students will answer questions using diagrams, charts, articles and new vocabulary for comprehension.  

Students will read math word problems and look for clues to help know which math operation to use for solving the problems.

 Scholastic Book Fair     

Math: Chapter 11- Multiplication and Division  

Students will identify and answer missing-factor problems.  Students will use strategies for whole number combinations.

Students will use math with tiles and versa tiles to work independently on new information and review.  

Students will continue to work on solving word problems by looking for key words.  

Social Studies: 

 Geography of Central America

Science:    

  Fun hands on science experiments for a cumulative review.

May 14-18 - Scholastic Book Fair at PES

May 18th- Grandpersons' Chapel- Half Day - Students may leave with special guests or be dismissed at 12:00.

May 25th- Field Day -We will have field day in the morning. 

May 28th- Memorial Day - No School

June 5th-  9:00 - 9:30 Awards Day in our classroom - Fun awards for each child in 2nd grade

June 6th- Last Day of School
